CHICAGO, May 6, 2010 — Linda Mack, founder and president of Mack International, a premier retained executive search and human capital/talent management consulting firm, co-chaired the April 29 Global Summit of the Family Office Association (FOA).
“The more than 100 family members and family office executives who attended the conference felt the program and speakers were superb and the venue offered an excellent opportunity for networking,” says Mack.
FOA’s Global Summit, held at the Delamar Hotel in Greenwich, Conn., offered an opportunity for single-family offices and families of wealth to collaborate with leaders in investing, family government and philanthropy and to discuss current challenges.
Scott Kapnick, managing partner of HighBridge Capital Management and CEO of HighBridge Principal Strategies, delivered the morning keynote address. The afternoon keynote speaker was Bill Ackman, founder of Pershing Square Capital Management.
Russ Alan Prince, founder of Prince & Associates, spoke on how executive directors in a single-family office are being compensated today. Dennis Jaffe, PhD, spoke on balancing personal needs and financial responsibility for the future of the family enterprise.
Additional presentations focused on investing in emerging markets, inflation vs. deflation and fostering wealth creation in multi-generational families of wealth.
