Linda C. Mack, founder and president of Mack International, LLC, the premier retained executive search and family office strategic management/human capital consulting firm, was invited to be a facilitator for the Opal Financial Group 2016 European Family Office & Private Wealth Management Forum at the London Hilton at Park Lane hotel in London, UK.

The conference is one of Opal’s premier Private Wealth Series events for high-net-worth individuals and family offices from around the world. Linda C. Mack will co-facilitate the first day’s workshop on Family Office Structuring along with Sandy Loder, founder and CEO of AH Loder Advisers and Ian Marsh of FamilyDr. The closed door sessions are attended by single and multi-client family office family members and executives. The topic will spark conversation identifying family clients to be served, the scope of services to be offered and what services will be provided from the family office versus outsourcing. “The answer to all these questions,” says Linda “will determine what the Family Office organization structure will look like.”

The evolution of the family office and the structure as the family matures over generations will also be discussed. It is often a challenge to continue to stay aligned with the family and its needs and objectives.

Linda explains: “Families are dynamic, not static. When you start, you are small…wealth creator and family. But as the family “tree” grows over future generations, the number of members and branches develop considerably as do the scope and complexity of their needs; the structure of the office should adapt and evolve along with the family over time.”

The workshop is designed to be interactive with the experts presenting trends and perspectives they have experienced in working with Family Offices with time dedicated to addressing the questions and comments posed by the family members and executives facing transitions in building their own offices.

The second day of the conference begins with a closed door family roundtable on “Common Themes of NextGens” entitled ‘Marriage, Addiction, Education, Entrepreneurship, Entitlement.’ Linda Mack will facilitate along with Penny Webb, Managing Partner of Familias & Company and Oliver Rothschild, Chairman of Oliver Rothschild Corporate Advisors. Linda will focus on how to engage and develop leadership in rising generations.
