Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 22, 2013Linda C. Mack, founder and president of Mack International, the premier retained executive search and human capital/talent management consulting firm, has been selected to co-chair the Opal Financial Group 2013 Family Office & Private Wealth Management Forum: The Race for Returns, on July 22 -24 at the Hyatt Regency Newport in Newport, Rhode Island.

The conference is one of Opal’s premier Private Wealth Series events for high-net-worth individuals and family offices in North America. “Some of the most well-established family offices, private investors, money managers and private wealth service providers attend for three days of engaging discussions on the latest investment trends, as well as a broad range of softer issues for current and future generations of families,” explained Linda Mack.

Linda Mack will co-chair the Forum with Lisa Gray, Managing Member of Graymatter Strategies, LLC and Michael Pompian, Partner and Director of Private Wealth Practice, Mercer. Mack and Gray will present the opening remarks.

“The Forum will explore the challenges and opportunities associated with investing in emerging markets, alternative investments, real estate and numerous other asset classes,” noted Mack. “Sessions will also address many other key issues related to the family office such asset protection, philanthropy and structuring a family office, among others.

In addition to co-chairing the conference, Mack will co-facilitate two private, closed-door breakfast sessions for family office and multi-family office executives with Ms. Gray, Rick McDonald, Managing Partner, U.S. Advisory Group (MFO) and Laurent Roux, Principal, Gallatin Wealth Management LLC (SFO).

On Tuesday, July 23, they will facilitate the first private closed-door breakfast roundtable for family offices: “How to find the right Consultant/Advisor.”

“Because this session is open only to single and multi-family offices, it allows for a candid peer-to-peer exchange highly valued by participants,” said Mack. “We will discuss key considerations and best practice concepts for selecting and working with family advisors.”

The Wednesday, July 24 private breakfast roundtable is titled “Next Generation (Entitlement, Engagement, Entrepreneurship, and Education).”

According to Mack, “We anticipate a lively discussion that will explore a range of topics including how families can mentor and “lead from behind” to engage and develop next generation leaders, and how families can effectively navigate the fine line between empowerment and entitlement. This session will also explore best practice approaches to the ever-challenging topic of next generation education in order to develop responsible stewards versus consumers of wealth. We will also discuss when and how to engage the next generation, including key strategies for ensuring effective communication on an intergenerational level.”

Opal Financial Group will kick off the conference with its Annual Americas Regatta Cup. “Conference attendees will have the opportunity to work with a professional sailing charter crew while competing against industry peers,” says Linda Mack.

There will also be presentations on navigating the trustee/beneficiary relationship, asset allocation, private equity risks and challenges, tax efficient investing, venture capital, opportunities for investing in real assets, hedge funds and their role today, managing risk in the entire family wealth portfolio and high-impact philanthropy.
